Know What You Are Testing And Keep It Clean
In this episode of the TPM podcastshow Jason Schadewald, a ProductManager at Parasoft, explains that have old testsoftware is not always a bad thing. The important thingis to make sure you are running the right tests thatreally deliver useful results. The most costly thing youcan do in testing is to keep running tests that reallyaren’t doing anything useful. The key to good softwaretesting regimes is to be highly selective in choosingwhat to test. It is possible to have too much of a goodthing. It also helps to give your software engineersbuilding tests the time they need to do a quality job.The worst thing you can do is rush things and wind upwith tests that don’t really help.
