Despite Flaws, Mobile Security Standards Are Still Important
In this episode of the TPM podcast show Hadi Nahari a Chief Security Architect with NVIDIA talks about how complexity and confusion keeps mobile security standards from becoming widely used. Trusted Platform Module (TPM) and Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) may offer a lot of security benefits but their complexity causes many manufacturers to ignore them. Worse, mobile security standards are often behind the times, solving old problems but not addressing the newer issues.
Still, Hadi feels these security standards are the best we’ve got and there are good reasons for standards to take time to emerge. You need calm deliberation to get security done right.
